Rosa Peres Lowenstein, widow of the late Samuel Lowenstein, mother of Jacob Peres Lowenstein, and one of the most beloved women in this city, died yesterday at the age of 64 at the home of her son, 1565 Eastmoreland. Many years of Mrs. Lowenstein's life were spent at the family residence of 354 Shelby Street before the trend of trade converted that thoroughfare into a business district. To her host of friends and to the many with whom she came in contact, Mrs. Lowenstein was known to possess those feminine attributes that would insure her a place in their affection, esteem and respect. Mrs. Lowenstein was born in Philadelphia. She was the sister of Henry Peres and the cousin of Hardwig and Israel Peres, Mrs. Henry Posert and Mrs. Lee Moore. The funeral will be held from the residence at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, October 11, 1922)
