Frannie Sanders, 87, died Sunday in a local rest home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Sanders was born June 12, 1881 in Tiffin, Ohio, to Jacob and Jemima Welch Lowe. She was married to Chris Zobell Sanders in Idaho Falls in 1898 (Jan 5th). He died in 1928.
She came with her parents when she was age six from Ohio to Garfield, near Idaho Falls. The family were early pioneers of the area and farmed there. After her marriage she and Mr. Sanders farmed in Downey. She continued operating the farm after his death until 1941 when she came to Pocatello to make her home.
She enjoyed association with young people.
Surviving are a son, Stanley of Black Rock; four daughters, Mrs. Forrest (Franey) Gabrielson of Inkom; Mrs. Don (---?----) Bowman of Black Rock; Mrs. Thomas (Susan) Croxa(-?-) and Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Andrews, both of Pocatello; a brother Jake Lowe, Downey; 23 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Manning Funeral Chapel with Bishop Tim Shaffer of the LDS Inkom ward officiating. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery.
