Lavaina Shigeko (Shioji) Lowe was born 06 Jun 1935 in Hilo on the island of Hawai'i and died 08 Oct 1985 in Hilo Hospital from injuries sustained as a passenger in a car accident. She was a homemaker and a member of the Keaukaha ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lavaina was survived by sons William Kukahiko of Hilo and Randolph Lowe of Germany; daughters Lavaina (Bernard) Agbigay of California, Roberta (Lawrence) Nahakuela of Hilo, and Edwina Kukahiko of Mountain View; 12 grandchildren; brothers Robert (Mildred) Shioji of Paukaa, George (Eva) Ahuna of Oregon, Wallace Ahuna and Walter (Martha) Ahuna, both of Hilo; and sisters Luella (Calvin) Aina of Panaewa and Wanda (Jean) Cerf of Texas. Her funeral was held 08 Oct 1985 at the Keaukaha ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints followed by her burial in the Mormon plot of Alae Cemetery.
