ENOCH MAGRUDER LOWE DIES
Was Civil War Veteran and Long Engaged in Business Here
Enoch Magruder Lowe, a civil war veteran and for many years engaged in business here, died Saturday at his residence, 1337 Girard street. Funeral services were held Monday.
Mr. Lowe was born in Prince Georges County, Md., moving to Virginia when in early manhood. He served in the civil war with the 8th Virginia Regiment and on the staff with Gen. Stuart. He was descended from one of Maryland's oldest families. One of his ancestors. Vincent Lowe, came to America
with Lord Baltimore In 1765.
Mr. Lowe is survived by five daughters. They are Miss Ella Stuart Lowe, Mrs. William Walde, Mrs. James L. Ridgway. Mrs. Edward T. Lewis and Mrs. John O. Gheen.
