Beth F. Lowe 1921 ~ 2009 Beth F. Lowe passed away on May 13, 2009 in her daughter's home. She was born January 4, 1921 in Ogden, Utah. She was the oldest of eight daughters born to John Earl Felt and Myrtle Unsworth Felt.
Mom was raised on a dairy farm in Huntsville, milking cows, hauling wood with her Dad, riding horses, and chasing boys. She graduated from Weber High, and went on to become a registered nurse at Dee Memorial Nursing School. She used her first paycheck to buy dresses for her sisters. Mom continued to watch over her sisters, nieces, and nephews all of her life.
She married George H. Lowe, Jr. M.D. in the Salt Lake Temple on September 7, 1943, and they had six children: George (Liz), John (Nancy), Steve (Ruth), Dave (Susan), Robert (Chris), and Alta Lowe Davis (Rick), and two international sons, Haarvard Nordlie and Chou Mounarath. Dad and son David preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sisters Janice (Eldon), Gay, Alice, and Jackie.
Mom was an enthusiastic member of Chareya, DUP, Coronet, and the Ogden Medical Auxiliary and had many great friends in Ogden. She loved babies and children, having served as Primary President several times, as well as leader of the 11 year old scouts and Relief Society President. She always had candy for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and loved those who married into the family. Her pies and rolls were legendary. Several generations of Ogdenites came for her homemade donuts at Halloween. Mom missed Dad so much, and rejoined him on his birthday, five years and one day after he passed away. Mom's love was constant and deep for each of us, as is ours for her. She is an elect lady. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, at the Kingston Ward Chapel, 1425 Kingston Drive, in Ogden, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her honor to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
