Elaine Loving Cleland, 83, of Amarillo died Wednesday, May 22, 2002.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Church of Christ at the Colonies with Dick Marcear of the church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mrs. Cleland was born in Amarillo on Nov. 24, 1918. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1936. She attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 1940.
She married Bruce Cleland in 1942. She worked for the VA hospital in Amarillo as an administrative assistant to the director for 30 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Church of Christ at the Colonies.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert Cleland of Trophy Club; and a grandson.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
