Nettie B. Blake was born June 28, 1939 to Mrs. Nellie L. Love and the late Mr. James Love. She attended public school in Hardin and graduated from West Liberty High. She united with the Olive Bethel Baptist Church, Hardin at an early age and remained faithful until her death. She was an Usher Board for over 20 years and was the President of the Usher Board at the time of her death.
Mrs. Blake was the mother of six children. She was a nurse at Kersting Memorial Hospital, Liberty for several years.
She passed away Saturday, August 30, 1980 leaving to mourn one daughter, Norma Rhea Love; three sons, James Love, Hardin; Thaniel, Lufkin; and Daniel, Alabama; mother, Nellie L. Love, Hardin; four sisters, Ms. Nora Bolds, Daisetta; Jimmie L. Towner, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, Houston, Ms. Shirley Randolph, Hardin; six brothers, Mrs. Jessie Love, Atlanta, Georgia; Rev. J. W. Love, Beaumont; Lea A. Searles, Ames,; Leoma Searles, Liberty; Willie Love and Isaac Love, Dayton; and a host of nieces, nephews, othe relatives and friends.
