Mable Ruth Bauer, 59, of Abilene, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2006, at a local nursing center. Chapel services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St., with Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mable was born in Stamford, TX on December 2, 1946, to Joseph Harvey and Ruthie Mae (Key) Love. She moved to Abilene in 1954. She lived in Merkel from 1993 to 2004, when she returned to Abilene. She was a graduate of Abilene High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph D. Bauer of Abilene; a son, Kevin E. Key, also of Abilene, a brother, William "Bill" Joe Love of Bangs; sisters, Mozetta Youngers of Merkel and Gayle Rynders and husband, Ray, of Abilene; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
