Martha Jane Love Dodd, 75, 3126 North Harding Street, a retired schoolteacher, died Friday in Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
Born at Kosciusko, MS; she had lived in Indianapolis for 42 years. Mrs. Dodd taught school in Mississippi for 10 years and in Indianapolis Public Schools for more than 25 years, she last taught at School 63.
The widow of Willie M. Dodd, she was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and the Indianapolis Education Association. A graduate of Alcorn University, she did graduate work at Jackson State University and the University of Mississippi.
Survivors include a son, William H. Dodd; a daughter. Julia Peeler Reeves, and a foster daughter, Ollie J. Williams.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul Church.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Stuart Mortuary.
