OBITUARY -- DATED OCTOBER 4, 1968 -- HOWESVILLE RESIDENT BURIED TUESDAY -- Mrs. Fannie E. Miller, 79, of Howesville died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. Mrs. Miller was born near Coal City, March 14, 1889, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Van Horn Love. She had been a resident of Jasonville, rte one for the past 53 years and was a member of the Coal City Jefferson Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband Verlin Miller in 1956, and a son, Fred Miller. Survivors include two daughter Mrs. Mary Woods, R. R. 1, City; and Mrs. Helen Bohnert, of Lafayette; two sons, Kenneth Miller and Emil Miller, borth of R.R.1 City; three brothers, Glen Love, of Clay City, and Martin Love and Donald Love, both of New Castle, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City with Rev. Noal Beadle officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove cemetery.
NOTE: THE DATE OF DEATH ON FANNIE'S TOMBSTONE IS INCORRECT. FANNIE DIED IN 1968 NOT 1969.
