1st Lt Ernest Love was born in Raton, New Mexico, but grew up in Prescott, Arizona. He was a local football star and then attended Stanford, but left when WWI broke out. The local airport in Prescott is named after him.

Ernest was first buried in a local French cemetery, Tronville. After the war he was moved to St Mihiel American Cemetery in France. In 1921 he was moved to Arlington National Cemetery.
