Charles A. Love, a resident of the Oregon Baptist Retirement Home at 2545 NE Flanders St., died Tuesday. His funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Little Chapel of the Chimes.
Born Aug. 22, 1878 at Knoxville, Tenn., Mr. Love was employed by the Portland police bureau until 1935 and subsequently served on the Spokane police department. He lived in Portland for 80 years.
Survivors include two sisters, Ina Coleman of Kentucky and Myrtle Giezentanner of Oklahoma; and three brothers, Will T., of Los Angeles, Gerald T. of Spokane and Millard P. of Ohio.
Burial will be at the Rose City Cemetery.
