David Loudon was born February 2nd, 1855 at Land Head, County Antrim, Ireland.

He departed this life June 29th, 1973.

He was the son of William and Peggy (Jackson) Loudon.

He was united in marriage to Margaret Orr on March 17th, 1878. To this union were born eight children, two of them preceding him in death.

He came to this country in May of 1889. The wife and two children followed in September.

He lived near Dana for three years, then moved to Livingston County where he has made him home in different localities since.

He was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church in his early life, and on coming to this country, put his letter in the church at Minonk. He joined the Christian Church in the fall of 1909, it being the closest place to worship. He conducted a Bible school at the Antioch Christian Church for a number of years.

He was a member of the M. W. A.

He was kind husband and a loving father, ever thoughtful for the welfare of others.

He leaves to mourn his untimely end, his wife; one brother, William Loudon of Long Point; one adopted brother, Richard Loudon of Anita, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. John Koffoed, of Graymont; and the following children: Mrs. Walter Richardson of Flanagan; Mrs. John Jenkins of Long Point; Samuel J. Louden of Cornell; David Loudon at home; William N. Loudon of Chicago; Mrs. Paul R. Meds of Flanagan; 11 grandchildren; 4 nieces; and 7 nephews.
