Dorotha M. Blanchard, 85, formerly of Kensington, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2005, in Nentwick Nursing Home, East Liverpool, Ohio. She was born May 17, 1920, in East Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ray and Ada Grace (Sherer) Lotz. She had lived in the New Garden area most of her life. She was a member of the New Garden Methodist Church and the Merry Matrons. She was married to Howard D. Blanchard on May 26, 1940, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Rose Blanchard of Westerville, Ohio, and Frances (Richard) Sobek of Payola, Kansas; two sons, Lester (Sherry) Blanchard of Columbiana, Ohio, and John (Joyce) Blanchard of Irondale, Ohio; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Birdine (Donald) Nupp of St. Joe, Michigan. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Maple-Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington with pastor Enzie Wade officiating. Burial will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
