the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, February 24, 1905.
Mrs. Elizabeth Aller passed away from earth yesterday morning at 1:40 o'clock, after an illness of ten days. Born on March 11, 1826, on Cold Spring Run, and having spent all her life in Carroll County, she was held in veneration by all the pioneers. Her maiden name was Lotz. She was married to Daniel Aller in 1856, and they lived together until his death in July, 1888. They built the fine house and made other improvements on the Aller farm east of town.
Of their children there are William N. and D. Wilbur of Canton, John H. of Trumbull County and Joseph Edward, Miss Emma and Mrs. Ed J. Harsh, who live near town. For the past 13 years deceased had been helpless, one side being totally paralyzed--making a great charge upon the children at home. She was a life-long member of the Reformed church and a Godly woman, walking in the fear of the Lord. The funeral will leave the house Friday, at 1 o'clock sun time, and after interment a funeral service will be held in the Reformed church, beginning at 1:30 o'clock. Of the family there yet live Adam Lotz and Mrs. Maria Pottorf.
