CHINNERS-Funeral services for MRS ROXIE LOTT CHINNERS will be held Tuesday, January 19, 1999, at 11am from First Baptist Church with Rev Gary Fleetwood officiating interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Mrs Chinners, 85, of Millbrook Ave, Aiken, SC formerly of Ridgeville, SC, died Saturday, January 16, 1999 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was born on January 16, 1914, in Aiken County to John Wilkes and Willie Mae Fox Lott. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and taught first and second grades in South Carolina public schools for 42 years. She retired from the Charleston County School District. Mrs Chinners was a member of Ridgeville Baptist Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. She was the widow of Marvin L Chinners. Survivors include three sisters, Grace L McMichael, Hannahan, SC , Hollace L Fleetwood, Aiken, Virginia L Holley, Aiken, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be direct to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Dr, Columbia, SC 29204 or to Ridgeville Baptist Church, Ridgeville, SC. AIKEN-Mrs Roxie Lott Chinners, 85, of Millbrook Ave, died S aturday, Jan 16, 1999, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
The funeral will be at 11am Tuesday at Aiken First Baptist Church with the Rev Gary Fleetwood officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Mrs Chinners, a native of Aiken County, was a graduate of Winthrop College. She taught first and second grade classes in the South Carolina public school system for 42 years, and she had retired from the Charleston County school district. She was a member of Ridgeville Baptist Church, Ridgeville.
Survivors include three sisters, Hollace L Fleetwood and Virginia L Holley, both of Aiken, and Grace L McMichael, Hanahan.
Pallbearers will be Thomas T Holley Jr, JM Fulmer, Robert Fulmer, Don Fulmer and Edsel Taylor.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Columbia, SC 29204, or to Ridgeville Baptist Church, Ridgeville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm today at Rivers Funeral Home.
