Linda Terry Lorenz Agee, 56, of Sparta lost her battle with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease), on Oct. 4, 2009, at her sister's residence in Florida.
Ms. Agee was born Dec. 14, 1952, in Berlin, Germany, to the Lt. Col. Ernest Henry Lorenz, Jr. and Ellen Lipscomb Lorenz.
She was a teacher's assistant.
Ms. Agee was preceded in death by her father; mother; and stepfather, Ralph Dykehouse.
Survivors include her son, Samuel Webster Agee II and wife Tricia, of Cookeville; daughters, Kendall Cooper Agee, of Murfreesboro, Mary Ellen Houston Agee, of Martin; father of her children, Robert W. Agee, of Sparta; brother, Ernest Henry Lorenz III and wife Chris, of Ocala, Fla.; sisters, Leslie D. Coakley and husband Tom, of Aiken, S.C., Lisa H. Slaughter and husband Sam, of Wildwood, Fla., Lila M. Lorenz and husband Bruce Clark, of Littleton, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 4 p.m., Oct. 9, 2009, at Hunter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Oct. 8, and 2-4 p.m., Oct. 9, at Hunter Funeral Home. J.D. Davis will officiate.
