CRISFIELD: ALLENE R. LORD, 79, of Crisfield, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at Manokin Manor Nursing Home in Princess Anne. Born in Crisfield on February 13, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Clifton H., Sr. and Anna Harrison Butler. Her first husband, Ophus H. Mister, died November 30, 1980 and her second husband, J. Raymond Lord, died September 19, 1993. A graduate of the Crisfield High School Class of 1944, she was an inspector at the former Crisfield Cap Factory, and later retired from Rubberset Corp. in Crisfield. She was a member of the Mariners United Methodist Church in Crisfield, and was also a member of the former Phoenix United Methodist Church in her younger years. She was a member of the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044 Ladies Auxiliary and the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Crisfield. A devoted sister and aunt, Allene is survived by three sisters, June Evans, Sarah Gerald and Jo Wooster, all of Crisfield; two brothers, Charles Butler of Ellicott City and Elmo Butler of Salisbury; her step-son, Rick Lord and his wife Lisa of Crisfield; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her first and second husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Cox in 1998 and Kay Linton in 2005; and three brothers, Clifton H. Butler, Jr., who died in World War II, Richard Butler in 1988 and Oliver Butler in 1992, and a step-son, Raymond N. "Rainbow" Lord died in 1992. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call two hours prior to the service. The Rev. Steve Willing will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion Station. Memorial contributions may be made to Mariners United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Grace Lankford, 27785 Farm Market Road, Marion Station, Maryland 21838.
