Mr C K Lord Buried
Impressive Services Held at Christ Church
Many personal friends of Mr. Charles King Lord paid a last tribute yesterday, when the funeral took place from Christ Protestant Episcopal Church in the afternoon, the body being brought there from Mount Royal Station, where it arrived from Philadelphia. Services were conducted by Rev Edwin B Niver, rector of the church, and burial was in Greenmount Cemetery.
Shortly before 3 o'clock the special car bearing the body was met at the station by Messrs M Ernest Jenkins, and R Curron Hoffman, who had charge of the funeral, and the other pallbearers. From the depot it was taken to the church. About the pall were heaped handsome floral displays, tributes from friends here and in other cities. The service itself was simple and included a funeral sermon.
