HANCOCK -Dale H. Look, a longtime resident of Hancock County, passed away at the age of 62 on Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Bangor.
Dale was born December 3, 1951 to Lynn and Emogene (Harmon) Look, Sr. in Whiting. He grew up in the local area and graduated from Washington Academy in 1970. Dale worked in the woods as an independent wood cutter for the next 20 years. Later, he worked for Halifax Ford in Florida and Linnehans Ford in Ellsworth. Dale had a reputation as a ladies man and had a rich social life. However, being “Papa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was his most treasured role in life.
Dale is survived by his sons, Shawn E. Look, and his wife, Carissa, of Hancock, Steven H. Look, and his companion, Jarod Curtis, of Augusta, and Ryan Sieber, and his wife, Tina, of Hancock; daughters, Nicole Look-Nicely, and her husband, Tim, of Whiting, Danielle M. Love, and her husband, Grant, of Richmond, New Hampshire, and Amanda Chase, and her husband, John, of Cutler; brothers, Lynn H. Look, and his wife, Leah, of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Timothy W. Look of Hancock; sister, Marlene Bryant, of Calais; grandchildren, Tia Jade Love, Autumn Love, Ivy Love, Sylvyn Love, Rachel Look, Andrea Moyers, Neveah Look, Connor Look, Colin Look, and Dylan Sieber; and great-grandchildren, Aiden McLean, Gabriel, and Isaiah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn H. Look; mother, Emogene H. Look; and brother, Grady W. Look, Sr.
Service: A celebration of life is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Sunday, November 2, 2014, at the Ellsworth Elks Lodge, 317 High Street, Ellsworth, Maine 04605. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
