Hyrum Jesse Longmore, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 30, 2003 in Idaho Falls. He was born October 5, 1918, in Thomas, Idaho, to George Brooks Longmore and Maud Mary Walters. He graduated from Thomas High School. He married Irene Wanda Smith on August 26, 1940 and they had nine children. Later, they were divorced. On April 15, 1970, he married Ruth Barnes Allen in Blackfoot. She survives. He worked as a carpenter and farmer. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served numerous callings, including a mission to Houston, Texas. Upon returning, he dedicated much of his time as a temple worker. He loved animals, especially horses, and enjoyed singing, playing musical instruments, reading, and camping
