Lydia Long was the daughter of
Thomas Long and Caroline 'Smith'
Long. She was the granddaughter
of Moses Long and Rhoda 'Atchley'
Long. Also the Smiths.
She moved with her mother,
Caroline, sisters Rhoda and Sallie,
to Gainesville, Texas in 1881. Her
brother, Smith Long and wife, Sarah
were living in Gainesville at that time.
Lyida died about 1889 from typhoid
fever, near Gainesville. She never
married and was a Baptist.
