Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. February 16 in Baton Rouge for Dr. A. D. Long, Sr., a prominent El Paso, Texas physician who had been making his home in Baton Rouge recently due to failing health.

In El Paso Dr. Long was operator of Long's Sanitarium, of which he was founder. He was also a member of the El Paso County Medical Society, Texas State Medical Association, American College of Chest Physicians, El Maida Shrine Temple of El Paso, a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Baptist Church, and past president of the El Paso Optimist Club.

In El Paso he was associated with the late Dr. Hugh White in operating the Pasteur Institute for 10 years. He served on the staff of the Tuberculosis unit at the County Hospital and as consultant and examiner on tuberculosis in the El Paso County School system.

A native of Winn Parish, Dr. Long received his premedical training at Mt. Lebanon College. He studied medicine at the University of Tennessee, received his M. D. degree from the University of Arkansas, and did post graduate work at Trudeau Saranac Lake, N.Y., Tulane University, New Orleans, and Cook County Hospital, Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, his son, Dr. Long; one daughter, Mrs. John Gage Dennett of Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. J. T. King, Austin, Texas, Mrs. L. F. Morrison and Mrs. Lula Tannehill, of Winnfield, La.; three brothers, Wade H. And W. E. Long of Baton Rouge, and Weaver Long of El Paso.

The Revs. F. W. Hart and John W. Warner [will officiate]. Burial was to be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers were Carl Long, Morley Long, Guy Martin, John Y. Bell, Dr. Felix Boizelle, Dr. John Beven, Dr. Wiley Dial, and Dr. Webb McGehee. Honorary pallbearers were to be members of the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society.
