Helen Marie (London) Bailor, of the Town of Niagara, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Niagara Hospice House, following a lengthy illness. She was 90. She was born in Curwensville, PA, on September 18, 1921, a daughter of the late Mark Burkett and Alta Mae (Hetrick) London.
She attended schools in Pennsylvania and moved to the Niagara Falls area in 1955. Mrs. Bailor was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 17 and a member of the former Hope Ladies Guild. She loved to quilt and made them for all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed ceramics with her daughter, Debra.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick Blair Bailor, whom she married in Curwensville in 1941. Survivors include three children, Thomas Allen Bailor (Elizabeth Provins), William Burkett Bailor (Joan Carter) and Debra Diane Bailor; grandchildren, Thomas Lee Bailor (Stephanie), John William Bailor (Rhonda), Amy Utley (Edward) James William Bailor, Timothy Michael Bailor (Karrie Ann); great-grandchildren, Kelsey Lynn, Christopher, Damon, Andrew, Mary, Dorothy, Alivia; Brayden; and a sister-in-law, Catherine "Kitty" London of Lockport; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Holly Aitken; siblings and their spouses, George and Eliza London, Twila and Theodore Gaines, Thomas London, Ruth and William Barnes, Clifford London, Isabell and Thomas Garcia.
