Fannie Mae Lomax Carter died Saturday in McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel. She was born Aug. 6, 1939 to Grace Irene Cotton and the late Charlie Lomax.
She was married to Samuel Carter, who preceded her in death in 1972. Survivors include her mother, Grace Irene Johnson; four daughters, Sharon and Sundra Carter of the home, Shelia Griffin of Germany and Stacy Alexander of Kingston; one son, Eric Taylor of Tom; and six sisters and four brothers.
Burial was held Wednesday at St. Luke Cemetery and services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Dora Baptist Church in Tom with the Rev. Winston Whitfield officiating.
Services are under direction of Baker's Funeral Home of Idabel.
