Louise was the daughter of Andrew Loges and Elizabeth Lahrman. She entered the convent of the Poor Sisters of St. Francis on July 7, 1918, in Lafayette, and was invested with the habit on June 29, 1919, taking the name of Sister Mary Carissa.
