Earline S. Logan, 70, of Springfield died at 8:55 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at St. John's Hospital. She was born July 27, 1937, in Eden, Miss., the daughter of Earl Sr. and Johnnie Mae Brown Stewart. She married William Logan Sr. in 1954. Three children were born from this union before the union dissolved. Her parents; two sisters; three brothers; and son, William Logan Jr., preceded her in death.
She was a domestic engineer at St. Nicholas Hotel, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Second Timothy Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board, Women's Choir, Frances McCoy Missionary Circle and Kitchen Committee.
Surviving are a son, Robert Earl Logan (Kathy) of Burlington, Texas; daughter, Minnie Pearl Williams of Springfield; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Wiley (George) of Clinton, Mich.; stepbrother, Fletcher R. Jones (Paulette) of Anderson, Ind.; and nieces, nephews and cousins; and sister-in-law, Artie V. Logan of Springfield.
Servicesat Second Timothy Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard B. Maye officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
