Luella Logan, 82, of Springfield died Friday at her residence. She was born July 28, 1912, in Lexington, Miss., the daughter of William and Mary J. Hagger Sheehi. She married Tommie B. Logan in Dec. of 1929; he preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Logan was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Second Timothy Baptist Church, The Dorcas Circle, Logan Lucas Missionary Society and the Women's Church United Missionary Society. She was also the mother of Mothers of the Church.
Survivors: four sons, William, Tommy, O. Chester and Leon Logan, all of Springfield; eight daughters, Alma Thomas, Mrs. Charles (Josephine) Crutcher, Mrs. Jerald (Rochell) Burton and Berlinda Thomas, all of Springfield, Ethel M. Johnson of Chicago, Betty Sue Smith of Charlotte, N.C., Doretha Logan of Columbus, Ohio and M. Ann Logan of Washington, D.C.; 42 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Green of Mobile, Ala.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: Second Timothy Baptist Church, Dr. Richard B. Maye officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
