Patricia (Cowles) Loftus, 74, of Enfield, died Monday (May 10, 1999) at home. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Harold and Kathryn (McGuire) Cowles. Mrs. Loftus had resided in Glastonbury for 20 years and Cobalt for 10 years, and had been an Enfield resident for the past 2 years. Patricia was a former member and past president of the Glastonbury Junior Womens Club, a former member of St. Paul's Church of Glastonbury, and a former member of the church choir. Mrs. Loftus is survived by her husband of 49 years, Patrick D. Loftus; a son and daughter-in-law Daniel J. and Julie Loftus of East Lyme; and a daughter and son- in-law Jeanne and John Tatoian of Enfield. Patricia is also survived by a sister, Barbara Flanagan of New Orleans; and is survived by her grandchildren, Bethany and Patrick Loftus and Erik and Kristina Emanuelson. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Richard Cowles.
