Beloved wife, mother and aunt Louise Ann Augustsson of Anchorage died June 6, 2011, at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

She was born to William and Anna Lofgren in Minnesota on April 23, 1931.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota and taught school in Minnesota before driving the Alaska Highway to Anchorage in 1958.

While teaching in Anchorage, she continued her education at UAA to earn a master's in library science. She was librarian at East High School for many years.

She served on the board of Sons of Norway and as president of the Anchorage Senior Center. Louise was a founding member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Anchorage.

Louise loved to entertain family and friends and was a gourmet cook. She enjoyed art and music and was talented at decorating. She will be missed for her generosity in helping others.

Louise married Lennart Augustsson in 1964. They traveled to Sweden several times and visited several countries in Europe. They also enjoyed visiting friends in Australia. They spent winters in Hawaii and spent the last few years wintering in California.

Louise is survived by Lennart, her husband of 47 years; her precious dog, Louie; brother, Jerome Lofgren of Washington; sister-in-law, Kathleen Lofgren of Anchorage; and the many nieces, nephews and cousins she was always in close contact with throughout the states.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kent Hartzberg; and brother, Wayne Lofgren.

Memorial services will be June 23 at Kehl's Chapel, 11621 Old Seward Highway, at 1 p.m., with graveside services at 2 p.m. at Angelus Memorial Park.
