Martha M. Heimbuch, 85 of Grand Island died Friday October 19, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Reverend Bill Pavuk will officiate. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Heimbuch was born June 1, 1927 in Hall County the daughter of Fred and Olga
Survivors include children and their spouses, Rob and Deb Heimbuch of Henderson, Nevada, Renee Hansen of Grand Island and Sandy and Jim Waters of Grand Island and sister-in-law, June Loescher of Omaha.
Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Jill and Troy Moser of Henderson, NV, David and Rebecca Heimbuch of McKinney, TX, Sean Sartin of Grand Island, A.J. and Dani Waters of Omaha, Mark and Amanda Waters of Overland Park, KS and great-grandchildren, Will and Heidi Moser, Nolan, Chase and Dawson Heimbuch, Trent, Haley and Mia Sartin and Matthew and Christopher Waters.
Martha was raised on a farm in Hall County. She received her education at West 7 Country School and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1944. She attended Grand Island Business College.
She was united in marriage to Jake J. Heimbuch on October 26, 1946. They made their home in Grand Island where she worked for Orin Countryman; owned Heimbuch's Accounting and was part owner of McDermott and Miller. She was also share holder of Marketing and Management Consultants, Inc and during her retirement worked for Hansen Employment.
She is a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church; the Stephen's Ministry; past member of Beta Sigma Phi and past member of Junior Jaycee's, past member of Altrusa. She was a member of Business Professional Women and was on the Nebraska Board of Public Accountants. Martha was accredited to the council of Accountancy of Nebraska for taxes and accountants. She was a National Certified Trade Broker for the International Trade Association. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Heartland United Way.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jake; her parents; brother, Les Loescher and two sisters, Myrtle Rasmussen and Inez Neimoth.
