Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007 at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church, Luxemburg for Harold J. Loehrer, 90, who died Thursday at the Good Shepherd Community, Sauk Rapids. Concelebrants will be Rev. Robert Rolfes and Rev. Thomas Knoblach. Interment will be in St. Wendelin's Parish Cemetery, Luxemburg. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2007 and also after 9:00 a.m. Monday morning at the Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud. St. Cloud East-side VFW Post #4847 will conduct a ritual prayer service at 6:00 p.m. followed by St. Wendelin's Parish Prayers at 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Harold was born to the late Anton and Mary (Lemm) Loehrer in Luxemburg. He married Gladys C. Ihlen on October 17, 1949 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, St. Cloud. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 517th Parachute Infantry. He owned and operated the Threeway Constuction Company for over 20 years with his brothers until retiring. He also farmed with his wife in Stearns County.
Harold was a member of the St. Cloud East-side VFW Post # 4847 and St. Wendelin's Catholic Church, Luxemburg.
Harold is survived by his children: Michael of St. Cloud; Angela Fowler of Pinckney, MI; Julie Loehrer of Minneapolis; Mathew of Minneapolis; and Todd of St. Cloud; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Kieffer of Minneapolis.
Harold was preceded by his wife, Gladys on May 29, 1999; sons, Paul and Mark; brothers: Clarence, Benedict and Herbert; sisters: Betty Sanders, Helen Osleson, Clara Kane, and Ann Loehrer.
