Durwood "Dean" Loeber, 64, of Montgomery passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2001 at his home. He was born January 21, 1937 in Aurora, the son of the late Elwood and Evelyn (Meyerhofer) Loeber.
Dean attended high school in Aurora. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Thor Power Tool and JB Industries.
Survivors include two sisters, Arleen (Howard) Purcell of Galesburg, IL and Linda (John) Gilbert of Coello, IL; two brothers, Bill and Edward Loeber both of Colorado; a brother-in-law, Donald Zastrow of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Zastrow.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery. There will be no visitation. Dean will be dearly missed by his close neighborhood friends and his bird "Bud". Arrangements were finalized by The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl, Aurora.
