It becomes our sad duty this week to record the death of Mrs. Amanda H. Hinkle, who departed to the better world, January 18, 1899. Mrs. Hinkle, whose maiden name was Lockman, was born August 29th, 1841, and was married to Jacob L. Hinkle in 1861. To this union were born nine children three of whom are dead. Mrs. Hinkle was a woman of integrity and had deep convictions of right and vigorously lived up to them. A loving wife, a fond mother and a generous neighbor has gone. The sorrowing family have the sympathy of all in their dark hour of affliction.
