Virginia (Mrs. Gordon) Lockman, 83, of Faribault, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at the Pleasanat Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour, with the Very Rev. James Zoltalis, Dean of the Cathedral, officiating. Burial will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation is scheduled for 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Virginia Lucille Wall, the daughter of John and Anna (Edwardson) Wall, was born on July 27, 1918, in Faribault. She attended school in and has been a lifelong resident of Faribault. On June 29, 1934, she married Gordon Lockman in Mason City, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1990. She worked as an assembler with Hammer Printers and was the bookkeeper for Lockman Plumbing for many years. She was a former member of the Faribault Eagles Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 43 Auxiliary. She is survived by three children, Gary Lockman (and special friend, Colleen Welton) of Faribault, JoAnn (and Michael) Mullen of Cypress, Calif., and Kay Anderson (and special friend, Dave McAdams) of Faribault; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a family friend, Ken Krogh of Faribault; and by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; a son, Dean Lockman; and a sister, Evelyn Handyside.
