Florence E. Bryan, 87, 2220 Jackson St., died Tuesday, October 22, 1996, in Dallas.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.Paul Bruhn officiating.

The burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bryan was born February 2, 1909, in Lamar County, a daughter of Andrew K. Locke and Fannie L. Jester Locke. She married Jesse James 'Jake' Bryan who died July 31, 1994.

She was a housewife and member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.

She was also preceded in death by sons, Barrett, Jack, Larry Don, and Charles David Bryan.

Survivors include daughters, Pamela Sue Christenson and Patsy Lue Hooks of Dallas; sons, James Bryan of Dallas and Joe-Max Bryan of Duncanville; a sister, Virgie Anderson of Paris; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Grandsons to serve as pallbearers are Chip, John, Mike, and Daniel Bryan, Bobby & Randy Hooks.
