Joseph Locke, son of Francis Locke and Ruth Fessenden, was b. April 14, 1750. He m. Mary Butterfield, Nov. 19, 1772, who was b. Aug. 19, 1754 and d. Feb. 28, 1833, a. 78. He d. Sept. 13, 1823, a. 73. He resided at the "Foot of the Rocks," in West Camb. in the house now  standing at the corner of the main road and the road going north to Woburn. (Book of the Lockes, 1853)
