A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Jan. 7 at Valley River Inn in Eugene for Patricia L. Papé of Eugene, who died Dec. 17 of age-related causes. She was 83.
She was born May 25, 1928, in Eugene to Robert and Myrtle Cole Lochner. She married Edward Papé Jr. on Jan. 14, 1950, in Eugene.
She attended the University of Oregon. She worked at Farm and Industrial Equipment Co., was owner of Papé Volkswagen until 1977 and owned and operated Rent-a-Volks and Premier Car Rental with her son.
Survivors include a brother, Robert "Skip" Lochner of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A son, Chuck Papé, died previously.

Patricia L. Papé (1928-2011)
Patricia L. Papé passed away December 17, 2011 at the age of 83 from age related causes. She was born on May 25, 1928 to parents Robert E. and Myrtle H. (Cole) Lochner in Albany, Oregon.
She attended the University of Oregon, then worked for a Farm & Industrial Equipment company. On January 14, 1950 Patricia married Edward Charles Papé Jr. in Eugene, Oregon.
Then in 1965 bought Papé Volkswagen and ran that until 1977. She also owned and operated Rent-A-Volks & Premier Car Rental with her son Chuck Papé.
Patricia was a gourmet cook. She also took professional classes in cake decorating and had over 500 cookbooks, and loved to prepare lavish dinner parties for friends and family. She loved to play bridge, and loved dogs. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.
She is survived by her brother Robert "Skip" Lochner of Las Vegas, Nevada, and his wife Mona Lochner, her granddaughter Kristine Papé-Bunting of Hood River, Oregon, and grandson Casey Papé of Eugene, Oregon; great-grandchildren, Isaac Bunting and Kylie Bunting; also survived by niece Lisa Korth; nephew John Lochner; nephew Greg Lochner. She was preceded in death by her son Chuck Papé.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Valley River Inn. Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Hospice.
