— RAWLINGS — Mary Priscilla (Loar) Llewellyn, 90, of 15429 Hawk St., Rawlings, went to be with her Savior and Lord on Saturday, May 19, 2012.

She was born in Gilmore, on Jan. 3, 1922, one of nine children of the late William and Desdemona (Powell) Loar.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Wesley Llewellyn; three brothers and their wives, George (Gladys), John (Irene) and Wesley (Helen) Loar; three sisters, Julia, Anna, and Rose Loar; and a niece, Janet (Loar) Russell.

Mary is survived by two sisters, Ella R. Fazenbaker and husband John Edison and Esther N. Wiland and husband Melvin of Lonaconing. Also surviving are nine nephews and seven nieces.

Mary worked for several families as a ‘nanny' after she completed the 8th grade at the Dye School. Later, she was employed by the Celanese Fibers Company and also at the Cumberland Blouse Factory. She was a seamstress and a perfectionist.

During her retirement years, Mary and her husband Bill enjoyed visiting antique shops and yard sales. They also loved to ride different scenic railroads in and around the area. She was a collector of anything Cinderella. Mary meticulously restored antique furniture to a state better than when it was built. She was proud of the fact that she still drove her John Deere tractor to cut the grass after the age of 85.

Mary was a member and faithful supporter of Liberty Christian Fellowship and for many years attended the Cumberland Pentecostal Holiness Church. She and her husband had a ministry of passing out tracts, religious calendars and Gospel tapes. They never left home without something inspirational to pass out while in their travels.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., Cresaptown on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m.

The celebration of Mary's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Liberty Christian Fellowship in Cresaptown with Pastor Gary L. Gordon. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service.

Internment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
