Benjamin Livingston was a son of Thomas and Keziah (McNew) Livingston.
He was born in Fulton Co. Illinois and raised with several brothers and sisters including, Rachel (Hartley), Thomas, Elizabeth (McLaughlin), Stephen, John, James Henry,and William F.
Benjamin served in the Civil War and was in Co. D, 10th Illinois. In later years he spent some time and died in the Old Soldier's Home.
He was married to Rebecca Hankins on Feb. 25, 1858 in Fulton Co., Illinois. Per his obit, they had 6 children. 3 of these children were: Belle (Farrell), Ida May (Earl), and Pearl (Hart).
