Eustace E. "Johnny" Littlejohn (1922 - 2011)

Eustace E. "Johnny" Littlejohn, 89., a retired U.S. Air Force major, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 28, 2011, after a three-week courageous battle with pneumonia. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Acton United Methodist Church. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Johnny was born March 27, 1922, and grew up on his parents' farm in McKinney. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1941 and graduated from air cadet training in 1944 in San Marcos. He was a pilot instructor during War War II. He spent 20 years flying for the U.S. Air Force and 17 years flying for the Federal Aviation Administration. He accumulated over 10,000 hours flying the C47, affectionately known as the "Gooney Bird." He was a member of Acton United Methodist Church and the deCordova Men's Golf Association as well as several bridge groups. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his brother; three sisters, and his first wife, Jeanne.

Survivors: Wife of nine years, Diana Littlejohn; daughter, Tracy and husband, Gordon Buie, of Coppell and their children, Courtney and Dan and wife, Misti Buie; son, Paul and wife, Kim Littlejohn, of Keller and Paul's children, Lori and husband, Phuong Le, Shelly and husband, Brian Pierce, and their children, Brooke, Krista and Jillian, and Kim's daughter, Kelly Cantu; stepson, Kevin and wife, Carley Weaver, and their daughter, Karley; stepdaughter, Michelle and children, Austin, Ashlin, Madison and Macelin Weaver.
