Ila Jean Adkinson
May 16, 1926 ~ February 2, 2010

Ila Jean Adkinson, 83, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away quietly in her sleep on February 2, 2010 after suffering a short illness. She was born May 16, 1926 in Madison County, Georgia to Charles and Lassie Little. Mrs. Adkinson was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wallace Leroy Adkinson who went to be with our Lord on January 25, 2010. Jean is survived by two sons, Don Adkinson of Pickerington, Ohio and Randy Adkinson of North Charleston, South Carolina; two daughters, Betty Anderson of Greenville, South Carolina and Bobbie Blackwell of Shalimar, Florida. Jean also had nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 2:00 ~3:00 PM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with Reverend James Burnham officiating. Mrs. Adkinson will be laid to rest at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Argyle Baptist Church in DeFuniak Springs, Florida or to the National Alzheimer's Association.
