Mr. Lipsmeyer was the retired chief of the Food Stamp Audit Unit for the Arkansas Welfare Department, a member of the Perry County YMBA, Perry County Fair Committee, American Legion and VFW. He was a U.S. Marine veteran serving in
World War II and was in the Arkansas Army National Guard.
He was on the founding board of Perry County Health Clinic and on the board of the Perry County Bank.
He was a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Dixie and became a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in 1981.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elvia L. Wilhite Lipsmeyer; two sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Shirley Lipsmeyer and Paul and Donna Lipsmeyer, all of Conway; three grandchildren, Lesley and her husband Ancil Lea III, Allen Lipsmeyer and wife Stephanie, Christopher P. Lipsmeyer and his fiancee, Petra Strnad; seven great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Allison, Ancil IV, Kendra Grace, and Amber Lea, Kyle and Candice Lawton.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway with Fr. Tom Byrne and Deacon Larry Lipsmeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Rosary will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
