Funeral services for Mrs. Cannie L. Coppock were conducted Sunday, January 29, at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Joe Sudduth, pastor of Beuchel Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Mrs. Coppock was born in Perryville, Ky., on August 28, 1875, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Marr and William Marcus Linney, and died at Metzmeier Nursing Home on Friday, Jan. 27, after a long illness. She was the widow of the late E. Chad Coppock, who preceded her in death in 1945. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Graves (Elizabeth) Burdette; one sister, Mrs. D. M. Hutton, Harrodsburg, Ky.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Charles F. Dyer, Huron, S. Dak., and Mrs. Michael Whitley, Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren. One son, Linney, died in 1958. Mrs. Coppock had been very interested in civic affairs in Campbellsville, was very active, until her illness, in the First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, charter member of the Woman's Club, and taught school in Taylor County for several years. She also helped to organize the first Brookside Cemetery Association. Pallbearers were James Graves, Ralph Burress, George Bertram, Maurice Coppock, W. R. Beard, and Roy Dunham.

Earl Chad Coppock, 69 years of age, one of Campbellsville's well known and longtime business men, died of a heart attack at 5 a.m. Monday morning at his home here. He had had a recent slight illness but was up and thought to be well on the road to recovery. Funeral services were held at the home on High Street at 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and burial was in Brookside. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. Howard Eidelmiller, of New Carlisle, Ohio, a cousin of the deceased, and assisting was the Rev. Harvey Morrison. The large crowd and the many beautiful floral offers gave evidence of the high esteem in which he was held. Mr. Coppock, a native of Ohio, moved here at the age of 12 with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Elias Coppock from Tippecanoe City, Ohio. He had a wide and prominent business career entering the contracting business about 1905. Some 25 years ago he took over the operation of the ice plant which he continued until his death. For some ten years he was also engaged in the reproduction of antique furniture and refinishing of antiques. Mr. Coppock was a regular churchman, being a member of the Campbellsville Presbyterian Church which he served for many years as an Elder. Mr. Coppock was active in local affairs being a member of the school board and also served on the Water Board as chairman. He was a member of the Blue Lodge of the Pitman Chapter of the Masonic Order and was a Knights Templar of the Lebanon Lodge. Mr. Coppock is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cannie Linney Coppock; a daughter, Mrs. Graves Burdette; and son, Cpl. Linney Coppock, now stationed in Reims, France; two brothers, Sam Coppock and Wood T. Coppock; and a sister, Mrs. J. T. Collins, Wichita, Kansas. He also leaves two grandchildren. The pallbearers were: Tyler Parrott, Jerry Cox, Ray Borders, Sam Miller, J. F. Campbell and Dr. F. I. Buckner. The honorary were: T. G. Layton, Paul Johnson, John Turner, J. W. Ramsey, Harry Edwards, J. H. Chandler, Charles Patteson, R. L.
