Nancy Brickner Lingo, 84, of Georgetown, passed away unexpectedly at Cooper University Health Care in Camden, N.J. on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016. Mrs. Lingo moved to Georgetown with her family as a young child from York, Pennsylvania.
She was a member of the Cheer Center in Milton, Georgetown New Century Club, Milton Historical Society, and the Democratic Women's Club. She was a member of the Harbeson UM Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Floyd Lingo, in 2010. She is survived by her son, John F. Lingo and his wife, Bobbi; daughter, Leslie K. Elliott and her husband David; and two grandchildren, Robert John Lingo and Jessi Hammond and Jessi's husband, Kyle.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday February 18, 2016 at 11:30 am in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947 where friends may call after 11 am. Burial will be private. Flowers are accepted or contributions in Mrs. Lingo's memory can be made to: Delaware Hospice Center 100 Patriot's Way, Milford, DE 19963.
