Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church in Reeds. Internment will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a celebration meal following the service at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church fellowship hall.
Margaret was a resident of Stanley Total Living Center in Stanley. She was born on May 21, 1931, to Eugene and Sarah Lingerfelt in Rock Hill, S.C.
Margaret was united in marriage to George Flay Bivens on Nov. 28, 1947, in Lexington. Their union was blessed with three daughters and one son, Sandra Bivens Smith and her husband, Avon, of Charlotte, Gilda Bivens Spiegel and her husband, Walter, Sherri Bivens Jordan and her husband, Danny, and Gary Bivens, all of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Mikki Bowley Halbach and her husband, Fred, of Kaukauna, Wis.,, Amy Jo McCranie and her husband, Trent, of Iron Station, Eric Hudson of Jacksonville, Fla., GSE Jonathan Spiegel, USS Stockdale, San Diego, Calif., and Natalie Hudson, Joshua Spiegel and Alicia, Brandi Parks and her husband, Chad, Amy Lynn Jarvis and her husband, John, all of Lexington; a sister, Lorene George; great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Emma, Wyatt, Devan, Coll, Elliot, Caleb, Lucas, Katlyn, Noah, Reagan, Ian, Lydia, Aiden and Adam.
Margaret was reunited in Heaven with her husband, parents, sister Elizabeth Branch and her brothers, James and Jerry Lingerfelt.
