2.) Capt Joseph Chapline, 2nd Batt, MD Militia - This is false.

**Contributor Larry Smith (49376371) discovered that the original document of George's service indicated that he belonged to only ONE militia. The original document stated that the two Captains had been arguing over the men and it was decided that they belonged to Captain John Reynolds. Therefore, George Adam Lingenfelter served ONLY under Capt. Reynolds.

In 1966 Robert Downs discovered the gravemarker of George Adam Lingenfelter. It, along with other stones, had fallen over and had then been tossed under a large lilac bush at the edge of the cemetery. It is a native rock slab; the inscription is crude, but bold. Today it is firmly set in Ebenezer. He is really buried in the Sproul Union Cemetery, Sproul, Blair Co., Pennsylvania.

True grave is located at Sproul Union Cemetery in Sproul, PA and is UNMARKED. The gravestone was recovered and placed in Old Ebenezer Cemetery in Jefferson County, PA next to Grandson John Ulry Lingenfelter.
