Billy Gene Lineberry, age 84, Galax, VA, died Saturday at his home. Mr. Lineberry was born Dec. 1, 1928 in Carroll County, VA to Shelton Whitfield and Elva Sharp Lineberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Killon Lineberry. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Debbie & Randy Fender, Sparta, NC; sons & daughters-in-law, Gary & Janice Lineberry, Galax, VA & Tim & Tracy Lineberry, Galax, VA; grandchildren, Tammy & Hobert Bailey, Ashley Lineberry, Sara & Darren Hanks, Tyler Lineberry, Regina & Scotty Triplett and Chris Fender; brother & sister-in-law, Guynn & Jean Lineberry, Roanoke, VA; seven great-grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow at the Felts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until time for the funeral service Monday at the funeral home. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Angie Lineberry and Pete Killon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hillsville Fire Dept., Galax Fire Dept. or Pipers Gap Rescue Squad.
