Armenius Sylvester Lineback was the second of two known children of Benjamin Frederick Leinbach/Lineback (1827-1864) and Balinda D. Huddle (Hardle?) Leinback (1831-1902) who married 24 Nov 1853 (bond date) at Forsyth County, North Carolina. Benjamin died during the Civil War and it is not known where he is buried. Belinda (went by Linda or Maddie) married twice more after Benjamin died, first to Levi Spach/Spaugh (1817-1876) on 14 Jun 1874 (his fourth marriage, her second) at Old Town, Forsyth County, North Carolina After Levi died, Belinda remarried to John S. Knouse (1818-p1880) before 1880 at presumably Forsyth or Davidson County, North Carolina.
Armenius married Mary Elizabeth Fishel (1865-1955) on 17 feb 1889 at Davidson County, North Carolina. Armenius and Mary were the parents of eight known children, namely:
1. Glennie Estelle Lineback (1890-1890)
2. Albert Herman Lineback (1891-1891)
3. Leonora Isabelle Lineback Foltz (1892-1964)
4. Garney Elmer Lineback (1894-1981)
5. Annie Maria Lineback (1896-1971)
6. Callie Augusta Lineback (1898-1981)
7. Emory Lee Lineback (1900-1991)
8. Robah Franklin Lineback (1903-1981)
