SUN CITY -- Maureen Ann Kozar, 59, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at her home.
Born Nov. 11, 1945, in Los Angeles, she lived in Sun City for seven years. She retired in 1998 as a secretary for the Huntington Beach Police Department for 22 years. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Sun City. She enjoyed researching her Irish heritage, collecting dolls, reading, the beach and her rabbits.
Mrs. Kozar was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Lindsey. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert Kozar of Sun City; son and daughter-in-law, Bernard and Patti Denis of Murrieta; daughters and son-in-law Mary and Steve Hampton of Washington, and Danielle Denis of Orange County; sister, Sheila Buchan of Corona; and grandchildren Joshua and Christiana.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. and rosary recited at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory in Sun City. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Sun City. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
Miller-Jones Mortuary is handling arrangements.
